I try to create a cocktail that I will serve for the summer when we have friends over, I think this will be this year's cocktail
A jigger of Gin
a count and a half of fresh lemon juice
a count. of simple syrup
a handful of fresh basil leaves
Place a few basil leaves at the bottom of a sour glass, half fill with cubed ice.
Place about 6 to 8 basil leaves at the bottom of a shaker, muddle with the back of a spoon, half fill with crushed ice, add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup, shake and strain into prepared sour class, top off with seltzer and garnish with basil leaves.
