This book of recipes came out of what I call our “95% Vegan Journey", having to face cancer head-on and to change our diet to a mostly plant-based, I had to rethink the combination of ingredients I use when creating a dish and what they can do to aid in rebuilding and healing the body.
There are over 50 recipes in this “Small Book of Recipes," with Vegetables as the central star in all the dishes. Many of the recipes can be easily adapted to vegan but swapping out an ingredient or two. I choose to create mostly Vegetarian recipes due to I need the properties of some of the non-vegan ingredients to help with the healing. Here are just a few of the recipes in this book;
Shepherd’s Pie
Ratatouille
Mushroom Wellington
Kung Pao Cauliflower
Mushroom Tacos
Sesame Veggie Salad
Veggie Singapore Noodles
Mushroom Sloppy Joes
Veggie Gumbo

Welcome to my third book in the series of small cookbooks, Cocktails. It seemed the logical next step in the series. Cocktails play an important role in every social event.
As the guests arrive, then after the greetings the next step is, "what would you like to drink"? And over the years I have tried to create unique cocktails for specific events.
Sometimes just researching cocktails from the past or just creating a new one that will help convey the theme for the evening.
Small Book of Recipes, Shrimp - is the second book in the series. I like the idea of breaking down cookbooks by either a single ingredient or type of cooking. I often serve shrimp dishes since it's seafood/shellfish that even people who hate seafood will eat. Some of the recipes in this book are:
Bang Bang Shrimp
Honey Garlic Shrimp
Shrimp Fritters Spicy
Shrimp Stacks
Shrimp Cocktail with Blood Orange Sauce
Plus 21 more recipes
Welcome to what I hope is a series of small cookbooks all focusing on a single subject or ingredient. Cookies, for me, were the logical place to start, since they were where I began my cooking journey.
For my first "Small Book of Cookies," I went home. Most of the recipes in this book I have been baking for years. They come from either my grandmother, my mother, other family members, friends and or, my dad. My dad loves to make cookies, and I remember when the holidays rolled around we were going to get many of his loving creations. His cookies are what made the holidays. Now he did bake all year round but the holidays were special.
Some of the recipes in the book are;
Ginger Snaps
Jell-O Cookies
Hazelnut Sugar Cookies
White Russian Cookies
Orange Chocolate Cookies
